it's here ..........

September 22, 2013 at 4:44 p.m. EDT

that was it ... that was the change
there is no denying it

it is officially fall

we are definitely tasting it here
fog in the morning
sweaters are unpacked and ready to wear
the trees are tipped in red
not full blown
thank goodness we work into this gradually
I'm not ready to give up quite yet

to welcome her in
the kids and I went out to

a lovely drive to the coast about 40 miles west of us

someone has already gotten out his sweater

black berries are past their peak
turning into raisins....

Autumn days come quickly
like the running of a hound on the moor.
Irish proverb

there is a harmony in autumn
and a luster in its sky
which through the summer is not heard or seen
as if it could not be
as if it had not been!
Percy Bysshe Shelley

By all these lovely tokens September days are here
with summer's best of weather
and autumn's best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson

William Allingham

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you
and the storms their energy
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
~John Muir

Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile.
William Cullen Bryant

I really love seeing your neck of the woods, bet it is getting so glorious right about now.
And that new bag? Speak of gorgeous ... the beads you added are so wonderful and The Fringe!! Such great style and talent.

It's a beautiful time of the year--and you have the water so close at hand.

Yes, that fringe is fantastic, and love how you set off the material with beads!
