foxy ♦♦

We had a wonderful day trip to
Mt Rainier National Park over the weekend.
It was a bit drizzly
but the sun peeked in occasionally
to warm us up a bit.
The scenery is spectacular.
Craggy mountain peaks.
Old growth forests.
Ferns and wild flowers.
Even a foxy little friend ...

not summer here yet

places to play in and pray in
where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul

floating homes

          If ........

I have always dreamed of living
in a house on the water.
For one ... I love the simplicity of the homes .. there are compartments for everything ♦ fun really
two ... couldn't get any closer to the water
and if you didn't like your neighborhood

Sea Side Excursion

it was time for a well needed holiday

give your stress wings and let it fly away
Terri Guillemets

~ ~
for 4 days and 3 nights
we stayed here last weekend

historic Hungry Camp Cottage
on Long Beach Washington
loved the charming red floors

day tripped across the mighty Columbia River
to Astoria, Oregon

it is just over 4 miles long
and built to withstand 150 mile an hour wind gusts
.. because sometimes it does that here!

The Astoria - Megler Bridge

views from the bridge are stupendous

gigantic ships look like tub toys

never a ship sails out of the bay
but carries my heart as a stowaway

for whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always our self we find in the sea

Anna's crazy sense of humor
.... ok ....
so we had to turn around
and do a slow drive by
so Anna could capture this guy.....

pretty much sums up the pace of life on
Long Beach, Washington

isn't this the sweetest?

the Salmon Art Trail

fabulous .. tallest feather is at least 8 feet tall

mudpuppy salamander

hike through the enchanted forest
old growth trees
ferns
wild flowers

I never saw a discontented tree
John Muir

it is not so much for its beauty
that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts
as that subtle something
that quality of air that emanation from old trees
that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit
Robert Louis Stevenson

well that was about it
we puttered
and feel revived
...
