Feeling like I need some sunshine and 

I'm ready to get my hands dirty.  

We've been pouring over seed catalogs 

… dreaming of spring!  

Believe it or not yesterday I saw daffodil leaves popping up at least 2 inches… and pussy willows!  

It's not too far away!

My sister found this awesome site .. Straw Bale Gardens

I'm going to give it a whirl .. it will solve a few problems.  

For one we may seem like we have a long growing season but our temperatures are not hot enough for real great tomatoes & such.

The bales elevate the temps of the soil .. and it is easy to create a handy little greenhouses.. I highly recommend watching their video .. I'm stoked and ready to go!!

Anna has been working hard in the yard

For the most part ~ our sunshine is in the front 

...  so interspersed with flowers will be our veggies ...

Our home sit up on a bit of a bank 

trailing in down will be 

zucchinis • yellow summer squash • winter squash 
and pumpkins

We have strawberries in with our roses and herbs everywhere...
