the weather has been absolutely glorious!
Saturday was a perfect day hike kind of day....
so off we went

Pinnacle Peak Trail . . . Rainier National Park

Tatoosh Mountain Range

Autumn is just starting to show her colors...

the leaves are all falling
and they're falling like
they're falling in love with the ground
Andrea Gibson

I would rather sit on a pumpkin
and have it all to myself
than be crowded on a velvet cushion
Henry David Thoreau

If you are faced with a mountain
you have several options

you can climb it & cross to the other side
you can go around it
you can did under it
you can fly over it
you can blow it up
you can ignore it & pretend it's not there
you can turn around & go back the way you cam

or you can stay on the mountain & make it your home
Vera Nazarian

met these guys along the way
they were going to make the most of the day
by skiing on a wee bit of patch of glacier snow

        the mountains were his masters
              they were rimmed in life
they were the cup of reality
                         beyond growth
                beyond struggle and death
         they were his absolute unity
in the midst of eternal change
Thomas Wolfe

foxy ♦♦

We had a wonderful day trip to
Mt Rainier National Park over the weekend.
It was a bit drizzly
but the sun peeked in occasionally
to warm us up a bit.
The scenery is spectacular.
Craggy mountain peaks.
Old growth forests.
Ferns and wild flowers.
Even a foxy little friend ...

not summer here yet

every body needs beauty as well as bread
places to play in and pray in
where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul
