can we call it summer yet? ...

we went to visit my family
just south of Spokane
on the edge of the fabulous rolling hills of the Palouse

what you see here is our last day

... as we were leaving

>..  thee only day of sunshine  ..<

do not be angry with the rain
it simply does not know how to fall upwards
Vladimir Nabokov

non the less ..
the trip home was marvalous

a 6 hour trip filled with
waterfalls and wild flowers

just living is not enough
one must have sunshine . freedom . and a little flower
Hans Christian Andersen

pluck not the wayside flower
it is the traveler's dower
William Allingham

You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
You belong with your love on your arm
You belong somewhere you feel free
Tom Petty

Splendid Mt Rainier showed her pretty head
to the natives she is Tahoma
mother of many waters

Cascade Range .. and Dragon's Back

..it was a good ride..

How absolutely gorgeous! I would have been sad to have the drive come to an end, such beauty. And, as always, the new bags are glorious!
