We had a wonderful day trip to
Mt Rainier National Park over the weekend.
It was a bit drizzly
but the sun peeked in occasionally
to warm us up a bit.
The scenery is spectacular.
Craggy mountain peaks.
Old growth forests.
Ferns and wild flowers.
Even a foxy little friend ... ♥
not summer here yet
every body needs beauty as well as bread
places to play in and pray in
where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul
John Muir
Mt Rainier
or Tahoma as the Natives named her
"mother of waters"
hiding behind the clouds
steam train at Elbe
Topped the day off with supper at
and Black Berry Pie ♥
Yummmm ....

I love visiting Mt. Rainier! I always feel so peaceful in the presence of a majestic mountain! What a beautiful little fix too, and what an absolute treat to see him!
Once again, your photos are breath taking, Lisa!
Your time near the mountains looks wonderful! So does that blackberry pie!!!
What incredible beauty ~ Love the quote and the pie!
I love your LOVE of life! Appreciating life, knowing when it is especially good, enjoying it then immensly, and remembering it and using the memories to heal the soul when it is not so good - that is worth to achieve...
