if a June night could talk
it would probably boast it invented romance
Bern Williams

a perfect summer day is ...
               when the sun is shining
                    the breeze is blowing
                          the birds are singing
..... and the lawn mower is broken
James Dent

. . . .  . . . .  . . . .  . . . .  . . . .

Let me just tell you
little guys are so stressful!

First of all we had 5 little eggs  {here}
 3 of them hatched.

Only one little guy has made it so far.
Today I watched him fly out of the nest.
He's hiding out in the rhododendron bushes.

don’t believe those clouds in the sky
‘cause they’ll be movin’ on
and the sun will shine
if the world's been passing you by
just reach out for a star
and you’ll realize
we can make it better with a little bit of ... Razzamatazz

Somewhere between a peach and a prayer,
they taste of well water
and butterscotch and dried apples
and desert simooms and lust.
