lunchin' with the bears . . . ..

a little jaunt
{a short excursion or journey for pleasure}
to Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma

WoW!
my heart was racing
seeing these beautiful creatures is a real treat
the largest fellow stood up in the pool
which to me looked quite deep maybe 6 feet
and he towered out of the water by about 2-3 feet
between him and me
was a glass a couple of inches thick ....
... hummmmm ...

.. ET ..
did you know walrus could whistle?

we felt like we were back in Alaska

puffins
the little clowns of the sea

we especially miss the sea otters

tricks for little fishy treats

.. glub glub ..

animals are such agreeable friends
they ask no questions
they pass no criticisms
George Eliot

an animals eyes have the power to
speak a great language
Martin Buber

our task must be to free ourselves
by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures
and the whole of nature
and its beauty
Albert Einstein

enjoy
