I love the texture of the clay,
the variations in the glazes.
I love the earthiness of pottery.
I love the whimsy and not so serious.
I love the NOT matchy matchy of pottery.
There is a ruggedness... a rustic charm...
a "substantialness" of pottery.
For the true enthusiast
... you can even wear pottery!!!

ReplyDeleteHmm... you are not the only pottery addict in this world. I was collecting pottery since I was 13 or so... Until I thought my student appartement is too small for all those stuff. And I stopped. Even sold most of it. Lately I think, I should start again...
